Kuwaiti citizens need a visa to visit mainland Vietnam. Like the other GCC passports, Kuwait's has no exemption there, so the e-visa issued online by Vietnam's Immigration Department is the way in. The portal accepts every nationality, the visa allows up to 90 days, and we file it as a single-entry e-visa for USD 75 or a multiple-entry one for USD 100, all-in, after a person on our team has checked the application.
There is no visa on arrival to count on either. Some websites sell one, but what they offer is an approval letter a Vietnamese sponsor obtains in advance, which is then stamped at the airport. The e-visa replaces all of that with two uploads: your passport's data page, complete and sharp, and a recent portrait on a white background with no glasses. The portal also asks where you will enter and leave Vietnam and where you will stay, and we collect those answers for you.
For a pure island holiday, Phú Quốc is different. Visitors of any nationality who arrive on the island directly from abroad may stay there up to 30 days without a visa, and so may those who change planes at another Vietnamese international airport without leaving transit. No flight runs from Kuwait to Phú Quốc direct, but services from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore do. The exemption ends at the island's shore: Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City need the e-visa.
Apply two to three weeks before you travel, not earlier, because the 90 days are counted from the date the e-visa is issued. Official processing takes three working days, and we promise three to five, counted from when your documents pass our check; around Tet, in late January or February, the Immigration Department works more slowly and we allow extra days. Make sure your passport has 6 months left, and add children under 14 who share a parent's passport to that parent's e-visa.

Yes, except for a Phú Quốc-only trip. Kuwaiti passports have no exemption, so the e-visa is the normal route: issued online, valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry.
No. Vietnam has no true visa on arrival; the airport counter only stamps sponsor letters arranged beforehand. The e-visa is the official way, and we email you the visa PDF when it is issued.
Up to 90 days on the e-visa, counted from its issue date. Choose multiple entry if you intend to leave Vietnam and return during the same trip.
Yes, for up to 30 days, when you arrive on the island directly from abroad or transit through a Vietnamese airport without leaving the transit area. The mainland still needs the e-visa.
