What is China Tourist eVisa?

The Chinese Group eVisa is a type of tourist visa specifically designed for groups of at least two people traveling together to China. Unlike regular visas, the Group eVisa is issued as a separate document, and there won’t be any sticker placed inside the passport.

What can I do with a China  Tourist Visa?

You can do touristic activities. There are 3 types of China Tourist Visa:

  • Single Entry is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, permitting a stay of up to 60 days per entry in China.
  • Double-entry visa: Valid for 90 days from the date of issue, enabling stays of up to 60 days per entry in China, with the possibility of two entries. 
  • Multiple-entry visa: Valid for 90 days from the date of issue, authorizing stays of up to 60 days per entry in China, with multiple entries permitted. 

Our standard processing time is 35 days. This travel document remains valid for 10 years from the date of issuance, allowing entry into Canada for up to 180 days per visit.

What documents do I need to apply for a China Tourist Visa?

First of all, We need a photocopy of your passport and the bio page.

We will provide you with the list of documents required by the government tailored to your individual situation and nationality after you have initiated an application. The specific requirements can differ depending on your nationality. However, they usually include the following:

  • Form of application: This is provided by us and requires your review, date, signature, as well as careful consideration.
  • Photo of the applicant: This photo meets the standards and sizes set forth by the Chinese Government.
  • Valid passport: Ensure that it has at least six months validity, and includes two visa blank pages.
  • Please include a copy of your passport’s bio page, as well as any previous Chinese visa pages.
  • Itinerary: Includes confirmed flight tickets and confirmed hotel bookings.
  • Documents proving residency in the country are required for applicants who do not have citizenship there. Examples include a driver’s licence, utility bill or residence permit.
  • If applicable, proof of a recent name change.
  • Chinese nationals living abroad, as well as those with foreign citizenship should submit copies of their previous Chinese passports or Chinese residence permits.
  • Travelers under the age of 18 will need to provide additional documents, like a birth record.
  • Additional documentation, such as a photocopy of the passport of a parent who is not traveling with their child, may be required. It is possible that the non-traveling parents will also be required to come to the Visa Application Center to sign an official declaration.
  • Residents of Kyrgyzstan are required to have an invitation letter issued by a travel agency on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
  • Only US residents and citizens are required to fill out the “Where You Stay” form.
  • If deemed necessary, the Chinese Embassy or Visa Application Center can request more documents.
Which countries are eligible for China Tourist eVisa?

You must submit a visa application unless you fulfill the following criteria for visa exemption.

  1. Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa through the ports of entry open to foreigners provided that they come to China for tourism, family visit, business or transit, and intend to stay in China for no more than 15 days.
  2. Foreigners holding ordinary passports of the countries having diplomatic relations with China and on a tour to Hong Kong or Macao, and participating in group tours to the Zhu Jiang (Pearl River) Delta Area for a stay of no more than 6 days organized by the travel services legally registered in Hong Kong or Macao do not need to apply for a visa. The Zhu Jiang Delta Area refers to the administrative area of the following cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, and Huizhou. For going on a tour to Shantou, the aforementioned group is required to stay within the administrative area of Shantou and leave China from there directly.
  3. Citizens holding ordinary passports of the following countries and on a group tour (minimum of five persons) to Hainan Province for a stay of no longer than 30 days, organized by international travel services approved by the National Tourism Administration of China and registered in Hainan Province, do not need to apply for a visa: Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland , Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Monaco, Belarus
  4. Foreigners holding an APEC Business Travel Card may enter China without a visa.

Do i need transit visa for China?

Foreign citizens transiting through China by air are not required to obtain a visa if they intend to remain solely within the airport’s transit area for less than 24 hours.

144-hour Visa-free Transit Policy is valid for passport holders from the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Monaco, Belarus, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore Brunei, United Arab Emirates and Qatar

Citizens of 53 countries with valid international travel documents and air tickets for a connecting flight with confirmed date of flight and seat for a third country or region can apply for a 72-hour transit visa exemption at ports of entry in Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport,Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport,Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Shenyang Taoxian International AirportDalian Zhoushuizi International Airport,Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Guilin Liangjiang Airport, Kunming Changshui International Airport,Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, Harbin Taiping International Airport, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, and Tianjin Binhai International Airport.
